The masks worn by one hill-tribe, the Wanchos, were worn during head-hunting raids. Their equivalents, in semiprecious stone, have been dug up at Teotihuacan: Northeast Indian (Wancho) head-hunting mask (left) and equivalent masks from Teotihuacan, Mexico. (120)
